Announcing Season 5 Of Video Gameography

Season Four of Video Gameography has come to a close, where we explored the captivating history of the entire Bioshock series. But now, for our next season, we have something special in store. Hosts Marcus Stewart and John Carson are taking a different approach. If you haven’t listened to our Bioshock Infinite episode yet, no worries! We’ll spill the beans right here, right now.

A New Experiment for Season Five

Season Five of Video Gameography will deviate from our usual plan of delving into the span of one video game franchise. Instead, we will immerse ourselves in the rich catalog of one exceptional development studio. Allow us to introduce the subject of Season Five: Supergiant Games.

Supergiant Games has been making waves in the industry for over a decade now, and we believe they haven’t stumbled yet. The core team of developers has remained intact since their first game, Bastion, and their talent has only flourished over time. Since the studio hasn’t released any sequels, it made more sense for us to explore how this studio has grown and evolved over the course of releasing their four titles. This way, we can truly appreciate their entire Gameography.

Release Schedule

We’re taking a short break this week, but don’t worry! The first episode covering the development of Bastion will hit podcast services on Saturday, April 23, around 9 a.m. Central Time. Following that, episodes on Transistor, Pyre, and Hades will be released on the following three Saturdays.
